Pshero rogue player wow classic tbc

Pshero is a streamer that has been playing the game for more than a decade alongside some of the finest players.

Be it retail or Classic, the man is respected by all members of the community. On Classic WoW, Pshero is renowned for achieving his rank 14 solo.

He recently announced that he would focus on Shadowlands while waiting for Classic TBC to be announced. After hearing such news, we at SilentShadows jumped on the opportunity to interview him – an offer which he kindly accepted!

First of all, could you please introduce yourself to our readers? (Name, Age, Country, how long you have been playing, etc.)

Hi, I’m Pshero and I’m 30. I am from Bulgaria, and I’ve been playing WoW for longer than I’d like to admit.

When and where did you jump into WoW? (expansion/server/class)

I started playing a rogue about 14-15 years ago, after playing Counter-Strike 1.6 and Diablo.

As a multi R1 player, what is/was your favorite expansion of the game, and why?

My favorite expansion was TBC.
It was the first expansion I paid serious attention to, and the PVP was nice.

What has sparked your interest in competitive PvP?

It was boring to just do scripted content. It felt much better playing against actual people, and also, I’m quite competitive so it was only a matter of time.

What you consider your greatest achievement in this game
Is there a memory which you’ll remember fondly?

I have gotten gladiator many times, I have gotten rank 1, I’ve done RBGs, mythics, M+ yeah, but, my favorite memory is when I first started playing the game and couldn’t figure out what I was supposed to do.
It was my first open-world MMORPG so I had no idea what to do and where to go.
That is my favorite memory.

By contrast, is there a memory from your PvP career which you remember not so fondly?

Breaking the brackets in Classic by accident and people just being super disappointed and mad at me thinking I did it on purpose. That one sucked.

Yeah, I know what you mean. But thanks Pshero for this introduction and for sharing this interview with our community. Let’s talk a bit more about the rogue class.
What has been your favorite rogue spec to play over the past decade and why? (be it on TBC, WoTLK, Cata, MOP, etc.)

TBC subtlety and WotLK subtlety were my favorite specializations to play because, somehow, both expansions felt like rogue is finished and didn’t need anything else.

Is rogue your favorite class to play from the entire history of this game?
Could you please share with our community how you came about trying it? Did you try other classes first or was it love at first sight??

I started as a rogue and only really played a rogue, I just read the class description and I thought that is for me and also I didn’t want to be a mage or a warrior because they are boring in everything RPG, hunter sounded lame, the paladin is just a shiny warrior, a warlock is just a budget mage and priest I thought was a healer so I was only left with druid and rogue and I basically flipped a coin.

Excluding shadowstep, what steps would you say has been crucial to your evolution and improvement as a rogue?

Becoming a streamer because I wouldn’t have played wow that much.

If Classic TBC comes out, as expected, are you going to continue the adventure with the same intensity as currently in Classic? What are your plans, besides the leveling part?

I’ll play arena as I always have and I want to see if my favorite expansion is as good as I remember it

Which arena team composition would you play on Classic TBC? And why? (2v2/3v3)

I like SP/Rogue a lot and RPS.
It is very offensive and unforgiving in 2s, and translating to 3s by adding a shaman just makes it complete. You have the burst and control of SP/Rogue with the added bonus of a Shaman.
I will also probably play RMP because of course, I will.

Do you think Classic TBC arenas has the potential to become an esport?  If so, would you be part of this?

It has potential but I don’t think Blizzard will do anything with it. It will just be community tournaments as always.
I might give it a try.
We will see how good Shadowlands is, it is looking promising so far.

Which rogue players have been influential to your playstyle if any?

I have carved my own path. I don’t like copying players.
I figure stuff on my own that’s why usually my playstyle and meta for the game differs slightly than other rogues’.

What aspect of your playstyle would you say is unique to Pshero? Do you feel you perform in some ways differently compared to other rogues?

I’m a perfectionist, I always try to do the best possible with the least needed so I’m pretty good at min-maxing pretty much everything about my gameplay, it is more annoying for me to use an extra cooldown than die without using any but nowadays I try to give myself some slack, maybe when I start playing arena again ill get back to doing everything as perfect as I can do it.

What advice would you give to your younger self wishing to become excellent as a rogue?
